Perpetua, along with WhyteSpyder, release new Walmart content quality score optimization product for advertisers

February 23, 2022, (Toronto & New York) - Great listings are essential to driving the best possible results on any retail media platform. High-quality content can improve a product’s rank and drive customers to your products on eCommerce platforms like Walmart, and help generate sales. Through a first of a kind partnership with WhyteSpyder, a Walmart Connected Content Partner, Perpetua is the first eCommerce advertising platform and partner to offer Content Quality Score optimization on Walmart.com.

Patrick Quaggin-Smith, Head of Strategic Partnership at Perpetua said: “Perpetua’s primary goal is to help our clients leverage marketplaces like Walmart in every capacity. Getting your products listed on Walmart isn’t enough, the important question is – how to improve rank of products on Walmart. With today’s announcement we offer advertisers new solution in achieving a higher quality score to increase sales.”

The Content Quality Score plays a direct role in an advertiser’s ad performance, organic rank, and ability to serve on keywords across the Walmart.com marketplace. A page's quality score provides a general idea of how optimized the page is for Walmart's search engine. By offering content support, Perpetua is able to help its clients advertise more effectively than ever before.

All major online marketplaces follow their own algorithms to decide which products should be positioned at the top of search results and which items should fall below them, based on different factors including the keyword or search term a user enters, listing title, product description, rich media, and back-end specifications, among others. The Content Quality Score is an internal metric used by Walmart to measure the overall content quality of a catalog of items, and the higher your product ranks, the greater the possibility that a potential customer will see your item over other options.

Corey Hammond, VP of Product Strategy at WhyteSpyder said: “Improving content quality scores is at the cornerstone of our Walmart.com optimization product offering. It’s an essential step for ensuring product pages appear in search results, and we’re excited to provide these best-in-class tools to Perpetua users.”

With today’s announcement, advertisers are now able to view their Walmart Content Quality Score directly in Perpetua’s platform under their account’s ‘Walmart’ tab, and with one-touch optimization available, significantly improve their score. These product pages are optimized for discoverability on Walmart.com and the Walmart App. To learn more about how to get started, email us at hello@perpetua.io.
