The holiday season is officially here.
With Thanksgiving falling so late in November, the 2019 shopping season is 6 days shorter than usual. As a result, Amazon has made some aggressive moves to win sales from its brick-and-mortar competitors.
Here's why we think the eCommerce giant will see higher than usual traffic this year:
Amazon is pricing 20% below other online retailers on average in key product categories (Profitero)
Of the holiday gifts shoppers will buy online in 2019, 42% expect to purchase all or most of them from Amazon (Episerver)
More than 10 Million items on Amazon are now eligible for 1-day shipping (The Motley Fool)
